YouTube is one of the best places to listen to music: lofi mixes, concerts, playlists, live sets. But the second you hit fullscreen, you're back in a video player. Better full screen gives YouTube the fullscreen it always deserved, with layouts borrowed from the music apps you already use.
No account · No tracking · One permission · Everything stays on your machine
Made for portrait screens, second monitors and tidy desk setups.
I made this extension for a simple reason: I listen to music on YouTube all day while I work. Endless playlists, lofi streams, live concerts, whole albums.
And every time I went fullscreen, something felt off. Huge black bars. An interface designed for watching a video. Nothing designed for simply enjoying the music.
No framework, no external library, no remote code, no permission you didn't ask for. Just a few files of HTML, CSS and JavaScript running inside your browser.
Local storage, only to remember your preferences. Nothing else is stored or requested.
No server, no account, no analytics, no data collection. It all happens inside your page.
Browse the code freely, make it your own, and send your changes or ideas my way!
Lofi, concerts, mixes, playlists that run for hours. Fullscreen finally feels like it belongs to a music player.
